About

My path to UX has been a winding one.

I come to UX by way of Advertising. After studying Marketing & Information Systems in Ottawa, I moved to Toronto to work for a renowned advertising agency. I wanted to see research & planning to come to life in the real word. Or so, I thought.

I soon realized that Account Management wasn’t my bag. I was way too curious & interested in the messiness of data, so after a few years I shifted gears and took on an opportunity to work in research & strategy at another advertising agency. This is where I was introduced to the world of UX. After working on a couple of projects interviewing users, designing wireframes, taxonomy & user flows, I was hooked.

Over the next few years, I took on various contracts at startups & digital production agencies to gain experience & fully transition into the field. I now currently work at the Home Depot in Canada as the Manager of UX Research & I’ve never looked back.
